Chocolate-dipped Fruit

 

Pizza Rolls

Use the pizza dough recipe from the Whole Wheat Mini Calzones, or save time by using prepared, refrigerated pizza dough. Chocolate-dipped fruit is easy to prepare, and it will elevate your kids’ lunch to something out of the ordinary.

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
 
2. On a floured surface, roll out dough into a large rectangle.
 
3. Spread pizza sauce over dough and top with cheese.
 
4. Starting with a long edge, roll up and seal edge of dough.
 
5. Cut into 1-inch slices with a sharp knife.
 
6. Bake on a greased baking sheet until golden, about 10–12 minutes.
 

 

 

Ingredients:

1 can refrigerated pizza dough
8 ounces pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

 

Cheese and Olive Sticks

Slice cheddar cheese 1/4” thick. Grease a small cookie cutter, and cut shapes from the cheese. Skewer cheese and olives onto short skewers.

Chocolate-dipped Fruit

 

1. Wash fruit and let dry completely. Spray waxed paper with non-stick spray.
 
2. Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, and stir. Continue heating, 15 seconds at a time, then stirring, until chocolate is just melted.
 
3. Dip fruit halfway into melted chocolate, and place on prepared waxed paper

 

 

Ingredients:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Strawberries
Cut-up pineapple
