1⁄2 cup loose leaf mate leaves or rooibos or black Assam tea leaves
1 cup nut milk of choice, blended to froth
Stir all ingredients together.
Use approximately 2 teaspoons of mixture per cup of tea. To serve, brew tea in hot water for 1–2 minutes depending on the strength that you prefer. Strain out tea leaves. Pour in milk and top with foam. Add honey or stevia if you prefer a slightly sweeter drink. Traditional chai is served very sweet.
