Fall Fix

Juicing before blending is definitely an extra time-consuming step, but if you have the time, it is worth it. In that respect, this smoothie is slightly more complicated than others, but don’t let that turn you off. If you can find fresh-pressed apple juice, you can certainly use that as a substitution for the apple and the pear. This drink is best made in fall when apples and pears are fresh. The fall spices are soothing, warming, and beneficial to immunity and digestion. Honey is also a great immune booster during cold months. Almond butter and flax oil both add healthy fats and energizing properties.
