1 red bell pepper, seeded, stemmed, and cut into pieces
1 tablespoon miso
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of cayenne
1 cup water or unsweetened nut milk of choice (page 83), or more if needed
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Serves 1-2
This is a savory green smoothie. Drinking a savory smoothie is an acquired taste, but once you get into it you will quickly recognize that it is incredibly satisfying. When I lived in Napa, I drank this smoothie every day for lunch.
