Vanilla Rooibos Tonic

This brew is packed full of vitamin C and antioxidants. Rooibos tea rivals green tea with its beneficial phytochemical properties. Cranberry juice rinses the body of the bacteria that contributes to the dreaded UTI. This drink is lightly sweet—perfect for a refreshing pick-me-up.

  • 2 bags red rooibos tea or 3 teaspoons loose leaf rooibos tea
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons honey or a few drops of stevia (optional)
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cranberries, juiced
  • 1 liter sparkling water

  • Add tea, lemon, vanilla, and honey to water. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes. Once tea is brewed, either remove tea bags or strain then chill. Once tea is chilled, add fresh cranberry juice and sparkling water.
