Which states are the biggest farm states?

California produces the most agriculture (animal and plant foods) for the United States, contributing about two-thirds of the nation's fruits, nuts, berries, and melons. Almost one-quarter of the state's landabout 27.7 million acres (11.2 million hectares)is dedicated to farming. Other states that grow a large percent of the nation's agriculture include Texas, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. Texas, for example, produces the most cattle; Iowa raises the most hogs and grows the most corn; and North Dakota and Kansas routinely alternate as the biggest wheat grower, followed by Kansas. Arkansas tops the list as the state with the largest poultry production.
