Could the greenhouse gas buildup ever make Earth as hot as Venus?

With a slow but steady increase in Earth's temperature, it couldfar off in the futurebecome scorching hot like Venus. Earth's temperature increase has caused more water to evaporate from the oceans and some ice to melt in the Arctic, which increases the clouds in the atmosphere. The greater cloud covering blocks some solar heat from entering Earth's atmosphere, but it also worsens the greenhouse effect by trapping more of the heat that does make it down to the surface. Prolonged heating of the atmosphere could shut down Earth's tectonic platesfree-floating sections of crustand cause the planet's crust to become locked in place, making it more like Venus's bone-dry surface.
