Turn getting dressed into a race: “Quick! We have to get dressed before Daddy sees you! Hurry! He’s coming …” or “Let’s see if we can get you dressed before I count to twenty.”
Use the carrot-and-stick method of persuasion: “We have to get dressed if we’re going to make it to the zoo/museum/toy store.”
Teach your child how to get dressed by herself (as much as possible). Tape pictures of clothing on her dresser drawers so that she knows where everything is located.
