The Wave

After you’ve got your coat on and you’ve hugged your child, play “The Wave” to help make leaving fun. Simply put, you find funny ways of waving as you head toward the door. Ask your child to imitate you. Don’t attempt to do more than three waves at any given departure—you’ll have to linger too long.
