Get Your Kid to Limit Computer or “Screen” Time - Basic Con

Basic Cons

Make “screen bucks” out of paper or cardboard, explaining to your child that he will earn one buck each time he does something important (chores, reading, homework—whatever you choose). Make a buck worth fifteen or thirty minutes of screen time—the shorter the better, because he can earn more and use less!

Allow screen access only for two-player or multiplayer games. Once the game is over, he must turn it off.

Allow your kid to use devices only when the batteries are low—that way, when the power runs out, his time runs out, too!

Use the desire for screen time to motivate your child to do other, less-desirable things first.
