Get Your Kid to Play Alone - If They Know

If They’re On to You

For any of these cons to work, you’ll have to be prepared to be unavailable to play all the time. Let your child know that you are busy doing work and that his job is to play. Tell him you will join in later and to get started without you. If you tell him you will check on him in a few minutes (you can set a timer if needed), make sure you do, so that your word is reinforced.
