What are some well-known brand names in the food industry that are owned by African Americans?

Parks Sausage Company, founded in Baltimore in 1951, brought a fortune to entrepreneur Henry Green Parks Jr. (1916–1989). His company became the first owned by an African American to be traded publicly. Another, Glory Foods, located in Columbus, Ohio, was founded in 1989 by Bill Williams, Iris McCord, and Daniel A. Charna. Among the canned items in the Glory Food line are cornbread mixes, sweet potatoes, and okra, while the fresh line includes packaged turnip and collard greens. The line enjoys a national market.
