Do all muscle cells work the same way?

Although all muscles work by contracting, not all muscle types have sarcomeres, the muscle contraction units. Cardiac muscle cells have sarcomeres but use different support structures during contraction than those found in skeletal muscles. Smooth muscle cells do not use sarcomeres at all.
