How do saturated fats differ from unsaturated fats? |
Saturated fats and unsaturated fats are dietary fats. Saturated fats do not have double bonds between their carbon atoms and are solids at room temperature. Unsaturated fats have one or more double bonds between their carbon atoms and are liquids at room temperature. They are considered to be oils. Polyunsaturated fats have many double bonds.
