How does adolescence differ from puberty?

Adolescence (from the Latin adolescere, meaning “to grow up”) begins at puberty and ends at adulthood when physical growth stops. Puberty is the point when an individual becomes physiologically capable of reproduction. Adulthood begins between ages 18 and 25.
