How frequently are the eye muscles used?

Eye muscles may move up to 100,000 times in a 24-hour period. To give the legs the equivalent exercise would require 50 miles of walking. The eye muscles contain a special form of very rapidly contracting myosin so that they can move rapidly but not fatigue.
