On a hot day, how much sweat is lost through the skin?

On a typical hot day it is possible to lose up to 7.4 quarts (7 liters) of body water in the form of sweat evaporating off the skin surface. Our bodies lose at least 1 pint (0.473 liters) of sweat every day, even when we are relatively inactive.
