What is embryogenesis?

Embryogenesis is the process during which the embryo begins to separate from the embryonic disc. The body of the embryo and the internal organs begin to form at this point. The embryo becomes a distinct entity separate from the embryonic disc and the extraembryonic membranes. The left and right sides, as well as the dorsal and ventral surfaces, are now distinct.
