When does milk begin to be produced in a pregnant woman?

By the end of the sixth month of a pregnancy, the mammary glands are developed in order to secrete milk. They begin to secrete colostrum. Once the placenta is delivered and the secretion of estrogen and progesterone drop, milk production increases.
