Where are the thyroid hormones stored in the thyroid gland?

Thyroid hormones are stored in the spherical sacs called follicles. The thyroid follicles, microscopic spherical sacs, are composed of a single layer of cuboidal epithelium tissue. The thyroid hormones are stored in a gelatinous colloid.
