Which of the curves of the spine is distorted in lordosis?

Lordosis (from the Greek lord, meaning “bent backward”) is commonly known as “swayback.” It is an exaggerated forward curvature of the spine in the lumbar region. The causes of lordosis include poor posture, rickets, tuberculosis of the spine, and obesity. It is not uncommon during the late stages of pregnancy.
