How many stars are there in the sky? |
Without the interference of light from ground sources, a person with good eyesight can see about two thousand stars on any given night. If both hemispheres are included, then about four thousand stars are visible. With the help of binoculars or telescopes, however, the number of visible stars increases dramatically. In our Milky Way galaxy alone, there are more than one hundred billion stars, and in our observable universe there are at least a billion times that number.
