Star Clusters

What are some examples of well-known open clusters?

In the southern hemisphere, the Jewel Box is a particularly beautiful open cluster that looks as if it contains sparkling stars with several different colors. In the northern hemisphere, the Hyades (also known as the Beehive) is a well-known open cluster in the direction of the constellation Taurus the Bull; slightly to the east of the Hyades, also in the direction of Taurus, is probably the best-known open cluster in the night sky: the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters.
