What has the Spitzer Space Telescope discovered?

Among the many discoveries already made with Spitzer are brand-new populations of brown dwarf stars, a number of exoplanets and protoplanetary disks around young stars, distant galaxies and quasars obscured by huge amounts of interstellar dust, the most detailed map of the center of the Milky Way galaxy ever made, and an enormous new ring around Saturn, twenty-two million miles (thirty-six million kilometers) in diameter.
