What is the “Grand Unified Theory”?

Some scientists think that all the physical laws of the universe might be described by a single, simple theory. One well-known scientist to study this “Grand Unified heory” idea was none other than Albert Einstein. He failed to create such a theory, but he laid the groundwork for others who have been plugging away at it ever since. Many of these models for a theory of everything are promising, but they are very complex and still in their scientific infancy.
