What kinds of electromagnetic radiation are there? |
There are seven general kinds of electromagnetic radiation: gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet rays, visible rays, infrared rays, microwaves, and radio waves. Gamma rays, X-rays, and ultraviolet rays have shorter wavelengths than those of visible light; infrared waves, microwaves, and radio waves have wavelengths longer than those of visible light.
