What were Gemini spacecraft like?

The Gemini spacecraft were larger than the Mercury spacecraft and could hold two astronauts. The Gemini vessels also had maneuvering thrusters and were capable of changing orbits, linking with other spacecraft, and precisely controlling their reentry and landing. Gemini was a very successful program, though Gemini 8 came close to disaster.
