Old TestamentThe Pentateuch |
As a shepherd, what were Moses’ responsibilities? |
The Bible does not address Moses’ situation specifically. Generally, flock animals were kept for their meat, milk, and skin/wool. So these animals were a precious commodity. The responsibility of the shepherd was great. It was his job to usher the flock intact from one pasture to another while protecting it from predators. In addition, the shepherd had to make sure the flock got to market in time for shearing.
