Wisdom and Poetical Books

Did Job have any friends or family left?

Yes. He had a wife. She was not much help. When Job became covered in sores, his wife said to him, “Doest thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God, and die.” (KJV, Job 2:9)

Also, he had three friends who came to visit him. The friends’ names were Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. Traditionally, the friends are known as “Job’s comforters,” because their intent in visiting Job was to offer him sympathy and companionship.
