How did God finally convince Gideon that God would deliver on his promise to be with him if he went up against the Midianites? |
God winnowed out Gideon’s troops and sent many of them home. Gideon was left with three hundred men. They were chosen on the basis that they lapped water like a dog. The Midianite troops outnumbered Gideon’s army greatly. So when Gideon and his troops won, it was clear that the victory was due to God’s intervention, not human skill.
