The Pentateuch

How did God’s plan of the younger twin serving the elder twin come to pass?

Jacob, a homebody, cooked a red lentil stew one day. Esau, an outdoorsman, came back from hunting and was very hungry. Esau asked his brother for some stew. Jacob said he would give Esau some stew if Esau sold him his birthright. Esau, impatient and thoughtless, agreed. Thus, Jacob, the younger brother, got in line to inherit more and be the head of the family after Isaac died.
