How does the book of Job end? |
God chastised Job’s friends for not speaking correctly of God. Job prayed for his friends, and God forgave them. In addition, God restored Job’s fortune, “and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (NRSV, Job 42:10) Job’s brothers and sisters came to him and comforted him, and gave him money. In addition, Job had seven more sons and three daughters. Job lived to see his great-great-grandchildren.
