Charlton Heston being cast as Moses proved a definitive pairing in moviemaking history. It is hard to imagine what Moses might have looked like without thinking of Heston. The Ten Commandments was not the only biblically based movie in which Heston appeared. In addition, he appeared in The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965). This time Heston played John the Baptist.
