What are some examples of Old Testament people obeying God even though they did not fully understand the reasons?

Abel’s sacrifice was more pleasing to God than Cain’s sacrifice because of faith. Noah built a boat big enough for thousands of animals because he had faith in what God told him. Abraham packed up his family and all he owned to move several hundred miles away because he had faith in what God told him. Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac because he had faith in what God told him. The author gave several examples, but acknowledged that he left out many because of time constraints. There were so many more “who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.” (NLT, Hebrews 11:33–34)
