Paul’s Letters

What did Jesus’ death and resurrection prove?

Paul said, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (NIV, Romans 5:8) Paul pointed out that Jesus’ life paralleled Adam’s in some ways. Through sin, Adam brought condemnation to the world. Through the unselfish act of dying on a cross, Jesus took away the condemnation. In this way, God showed the world undeserved love and compassion—God showed the world grace.
