What did John do with the scroll?

The voice told John to eat the scroll. So John “took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it.” (NIV, Revelation 10:10–11) A popular theory is that the sweetness represents the gentle relief given to believers, while the upset stomach represents the harshness of God’s judgment on the unrepentant.
