New Testament

Revelation

What did the beasts do?

The first beast became the object of worship for the whole earth. The people said, “Who is like unto the beast, who is able to make war with him?” (KJV, Revelation 13:4) The beast spewed blasphemous and arrogant words against God. Also, the beast was allowed to attack the saints, or Christians, and conquer them.

The second beast misled humans by forcing them to worship the first beast and by performing “great wonders.” (KJV, Revelation 13:13) Also, it made people, “both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,” be marked on the right hand or the forehead with the mark of three sixes. This mark is a direct contrast to the seals put on the foreheads of God’s servants in Revelation 7.

Both beasts took orders from the red dragon.
