The first beast came out of the sea, and had ten horns and seven heads. Each horn had a crown. On each head were imprinted blasphemous names. The beast was a leopard/bear/lion hybrid, and had all the wild, ravenous qualities of those animals. Generally, this beast is interpreted to be the Antichrist. This beast is described again in Revelation 17.
