Revelation

What did the great whore look like?

She was clothed in purple and red. She was adorned in gold, silver, and pearls. In one of her hands she held a golden cup full of her sins. On her forehead was written, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (KJV, Revelation 17:5) The woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, and the blood of the witnesses to Jesus. She sat on the seven-headed beast first described in Revelation 13.
