What did this mean to the Corinthians?

For the Corinthian believers, it was a humbling reminder that there was no room in the church for human ego or pride. Paul scolded, “For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?” (NIV, I Corinthians 3:3) Godly wisdom was to be valued over human wisdom.
