New TestamentGospels and Acts of the Apostles |
What happened to Jesus after Barabbas was freed? |
Jesus was beaten and mocked. Pilate’s soldiers stripped Jesus and put a crimson robe on him. They made a crown out of thorns, and pressed it onto Jesus’ head. In addition, the soldiers pretended to pay homage to Jesus, and they spat on him. Then the soldiers led Jesus away to be crucified.
