When Tobias went to soak his feet in the river, a big fish jumped out and tried to eat his foot. Raphael told Tobias to pull the fish onto land and cut it open, saving the gall, heart, and liver for medicine. They roasted and ate some of the fish, and salted some of the fish to eat later.
