Tobias and Raphael ran ahead to arrive at the house first. They had the fish gall ready. When Tobias saw his father, he smeared the fish gall on his father’s eyes. Then Tobias peeled the white film from his father’s eyes. Tobit exclaimed, “I see you my son, the light of my eyes!” (NRSV, Tobit 11:14) Then Tobit praised God and thanked him. The family celebrated Tobit’s sight and Tobias’ wedding.
