What is the Letter of Jeremiah about?

It is a letter written to the people of Judah as the first round of them are about to be forced into exile by the Babylonians. This letter dates from about 587 B.C.E., ten years before the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem. In the letter, Jeremiah pleaded with the people to avoid idol worship when they went to a foreign nation.
