What is the book of Isaiah about? |
The book of Isaiah concerns God’s anger at the people of Judah for falling away from God’s word. Also, the book is filled with allusions to the birth and ministry of Jesus, some 700 years after Isaiah’s lifetime. At God’s instruction, Isaiah spoke to the people about his visions. Isaiah wrote with power, persuasion, and elegance. The book is full of vivid imagery and symbolism, making it nearly impossible for scholars to agree on the precise meaning of some of the passages.
