The full title is The Wisdom of Jesus, Son of Sirach. The book is known as Ecclesiasticus as well. This Jesus was not Jesus Christ. Jesus, son of Sirach, wrote this book sometime before 180 B.C.E. The book was translated from Hebrew into Greek by the author’s grandson. The grandson wrote the prologue to the book.
