What literary form does John use in the book?

He uses three forms: epistolary, prophetic, and apocalyptic. Epistolary means the book is in the form of a letter. Prophetic means the book deals with possible future outcomes regarding judgment and salvation. Apocalyptic means that the book deals with the unveiling of God’s purpose, especially as it relates to end times.
