Seeing the hand write under the illumination of a nearby lampstand, Belshazzar grew pale, and so afraid that “that his knees knocked together and his legs gave way.” (NIV, Daniel 5:6) He called his magicians, diviners, and wise men to see if they could tell him the meaning of the writing. None of them could interpret the writing.
