Job was awed by God’s response, and said, “See, I am of small account, what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.” (NRSV, Job 40:4) When God finished speaking to him, Job replied, “ … I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.” (NRSV, Job 42:6)
