At first, Mary was puzzled. She said, “How can I have a baby? I am a virgin.” (NLT, Luke 1:34) Gabriel assured her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” (NLT, Luke 1:35) Then Mary acquiesced: “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants.
